In this early reading intermediate course for kindergarten and 1st grade, we will learn phonics skills that have long vowel sounds, practice spelling and reading. Great supplement for homeschool, afterschool and summer enrichment. There are 3 activities in the classes. -First, going over the phonics skill (using anchor charts and/or chants) and a movement break to practice the phonics sound. -Practice sounding out and blending words. Then read a sentence. -Using 3 steps to spell a word and then read a sentence. For the remainder of class time, we will play games to reinforce the phonics skill and reading.
