In this four week flex class course, students will be introduced to the Korean alphabet, Hangul! We will start with all of the consonants attached to the letter A, then we will add all of the vowels! The class will be very fun and easy going, and will encourage a love of the language! Each lesson, we will start of with an introduction of the letters of the week, and then students will practice writing the letters! This class is the flex version of "Learn to Read and Write Korean!" that I offer on Outschool. This class will be very interactive as students will post pictures of their writing, play games, and we will have a section for students to practice writing one another in Korean! Each week I will post a 25 minute video explaining the concepts below, then I will post discussion questions, challenge activities, games, or ask students to share examples of their work daily in the classroom. Here is a rough outline of each class:

Week 1: 25 minute video teaching the first 7 consonants along with A and U (UH). We will have a self introduction discussion in the classroom, students will post pictures of themselves writing this week's challenge words to the class, and I will post a discussion question to the class.

Week 2: 25 minute video teaching the next 7 consonants along with O and U (OO). Students will post a video or picture of themselves writing out the challenge words from this class, and I will post a game to the classroom.

Week 3: 25 minute video teaching the remaining 6 vowels. We will have a discussion in the classroom about how our writing skills have progressed so far, post this week's challenge words, and we will play a Hangul quiz game!

Week 4: 25 minute video wrapping of final steps and practicing putting the letters together by syllable. Students will post a video or picture of themselves writing sentences from this week's lesson. We will also have a discussion in class about Hangul, and students will share examples of some of their work throughout this course.
