In this course we will be learning how to play Pokemon the Trading Card Game. Pokemon TCG teaches kids math and strategy. We will go over the three types of Pokemon cards: Energy, Pokemon, and Trainer. We will discuss how to read a basic Pokemon card as well as all the Stage 1 and Stage 2 Pokemon cards. We will learn how to use the cards so we can evolve our Pokémon’s during game battle. We will also discuss Pokemon GX and EX cards and why they are different. We will go over how to use energy cards so our Pokemon can attack during game battle. We will discuss how trainer cards work and when they would be used during game play.

Prerequisite: You must know how to read in order to play the game and do simple math (addition, subtraction, multiplication).

Pencil
Pokemon Cards (a variety of Pokemon, Energy, and Trainer cards are best) - You need a deck of 60 cards to play the game but it’s ok if you don’t have that many yet.
