**There are NO prerequisites for this course** Welcome to Module 2 of the Learn to Fly! series, based on the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration's Private Pilot Certificate general knowledge base. Now that you've mastered the basics of controlling an airplane in all phases of flight, it is time to broaden your understanding of the world in which pilots operate. Using an online, browser-based flight simulator (no download required), the instructor will teach you about aviation weather considerations, the National Airspace System, the unique requirements of night flying, pilot radio communications, airfield operations, and traffic pattern procedures. When is the weather good enough to fly? Can I fly over this airport? If so, who do I talk to and what do I say? How do I get from my parking spot to the runway? These are but a few of the many questions we will answer together in this fun and highly engaging course. Students will graduate with an expanded understanding of how aviation operations are structured. Week 1 Night flying considerations and requirements Week 2 VFR weather minimums Week 3 The U.S. Airspace System Week 4 Pilot communication procedures Week 5 Traffic pattern operations Week 6 Airfield markings and operations
