Students will learn the basics of drawing an anime head, face, and upper body. They will start with basic shapes and lines to plan their under-sketches. An under sketch helps achieve correct proportions and build for your figure or character. They will learn about proportions and how to properly position facial features such as the eyes, nose, and mouth on the head. The class will explore how to create movement in drawing hair.

I will demonstrate to the class how to complete this lesson by using a sketchbook with a pencil on paper or by using the digital program FireAlpaca. Students can use any pencil, paper, or digital art program to complete this class, which focuses on learning to sketch and draw step-by-step.
