In my Editing class here on Outschool, I have noticed that students are missing the basics of computer organization and use.  There are simple ways to make using a computer way more fun and efficient.  In this 60 minute class, students will learn tricks to keep the computer running at its best and ways to use the computer more efficiently.

BASICS OF COMPUTER HARDWARE: What is a hard drive? What is memory(RAM)? What is the CPU? And why does it matter?
WHERE MY FILES GO: Have you ever downloaded or saved something and then couldn’t find it? File organization and easy ways to search for and find ‘missing’ files.
MOUSE OR TRACKPAD: Scroll wheels and buttons and their many awesome uses.
KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS: Let the computer do the work!
ERGONOMICS: Quick tips on how to sit at your computer so you don’t get a sore neck and shoulders!
