Ladybug Learning: Imagina, crea, participa

In each class learners will be taught a letter of week, and given background information to help them discover what our theme based story lesson will be. We will then discuss the two types of stories to be read.  Is the story fiction or nonfiction?  We will discuss the difference.  Each class is theme based around the time of year and what would be taught in traditional classroom circle and center time.   Example, Frogs-letter F, what other words make this sounds, practice making letter, students are read a nonfiction story about frogs as well as a ficton story.  Your child will be asked questions about each type of story.  We will end class by coloring a picture or an activity like fiction and nonfiction map for students to show understanding and to share with you at home.
Classroom management:    I will ask student to raise their hands or give thumbs up for understanding. Please bring a dry erase board  or paper and marker to make the letter with me.  I will send activity for each lesson to classroom prior to our lesson.  Extension activities will be shared in the classroom after each lesson.
