Kindness starts with you! This is the one underlying message of our object lesson. After reading a book about kindness, learners will decide if they want to be a cotton ball person or a sandpaper person. We will discuss the difference between the two and how they relate to the way we act and treat other people. In order to help learners decide if they would like to be a cotton ball person or a sandpaper person, we will do hands-on activities. (Some supplies are needed for the activities-see supply list. If learners would like to just watch the activities, they do not need to bring the supplies, but the lessons “stick” better if they participate.) At the end of class, learners will be encouraged to complete the Kindness Challenge. This is guaranteed to be a fun and memorable class for all!

*Please check the supply list for the supplies needed for this class.

*Each learner must be registered to attend the class; however, siblings/friends can share a screen to participate in the class.

*Please make sure your learner knows how to find and use the Mute/Unmute button. There are times when a learner’s background is noisy. Their mic will be muted by the teacher so the class and the learning and thinking processes are not disrupted. Your learner will then have to unmute their mic in order to talk. Zoom will not allow teachers to unmute mics anymore.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
