Nivel Beginner
Our focus will be on short vowel CVC words using the Outschool zoom platform. Teacher will provide explicit instruction on sounding and blending cvc short vowel words. Teacher will use engaging flash cards to keep students engaged and excited to learn. I will feature a short story with given vowel sound for the week. There will be many opportunities for learners to engage in interact with me in order to enhance a learning relationship. My teaching style is students centered. I will adapt my instruction to meet the needs of any student in my class. My goal is to make learning fun and engaging. This class would be best suited for younger students (pre-K) that need enrichment or older students, (1st-2nd) that need intervention. It is on level for Kindergartners. Some topics/themes we will cover for January will be winter themed CVC sounds and blending, snowflake and snowball matching, building cvc words, and reading & making short sentences (dictation) using cvc words and syllables. These classes can be built upon one another and we can have readers in no time. We will also work on heart words (words with irregular spelling patterns).
