En esta clase continua, nuestro grupo de estudiantes participará en actividades a medida que avanzamos en el plan de estudios de jardín de infantes. En esta clase, los alumnos aprenderán palabras CVC, palabras reconocibles a simple vista, habilidades matemáticas, experimentos científicos y más.

In this ongoing class, we will be exploring the kindergarten skills set in a fun, exciting environment with our friends. The students will engage in a variety of activities as we work our way through the kindergarten curriculum. In this class learners will learn CVC Words, Sight words, basic math skills, engage in thrilling science experiments as they learn about the world around them.
We will conduct our class starting with a song to get our brains and bodies ready to learn for the day.. We will then complete a daily calendar that includes a variety of activities such as learning the days of the week, months of the year, number of the day and letter of the day, weather report, and much more. Following the calendar, students will engage in a lesson to learn and practice 1-2 kindergarten-level learning concepts. We will finish our class with a movement song and dance or listening activity that gets learning moving and having fun.
Students will receive access to online learning games and activities that coincide with the lesson as well as a weekly packet of worksheets and supply list for the Friday activity to aid in the extended learning of the class.
On Mondays: Students will engage in a storytelling experience while we practice reading comprehension and events sequencing
Such as: WH questions, Learning about the components of the book, learning about parts of a story
On Tuesdays: Students will learn a math concept
Such as: Skip counting, counting 1-50, basic addition, touch math, picture math, shapes, numbers, place value, time,
On Wednesday: Students will engage in learning a reading skill
Such as: Letter practice, CVC words, letter blends, rhyming,
On Thursday: Students will learn a new sight word
On Friday: Students will be provided with a recorded video to complete a hands-on Fun Friday Activity at home, This would be a science experiment, craft, or creative snack.

My name is Shelby Landreth. I have been in the education field for many years. I was an education specialist at a local science museum teaching home school programs, school programs, and camps of many kinds. I also have experience teaching children with special needs. I have worked with these children in a school setting as well as a clinic setting providing ABA therapy. I also own the organization Creative Minds Learning Center LLC that also hosts classes here on Outschool. If there is a class of mine that you do not currently see available or if the class is sold out you may want to check to see if I have another teacher offering the class there.
I believe that there is no reason that education and life skills cannot be fun since it is an essential part of our daily lives. If you are looking for a teacher that loves teaching and wants to teach your child a concept in a way that they will have fun and enjoy the class, you will find it in my classroom with fun games and projects that promote a lifetime fuel for learning.
