Using a research-based curriculum, we focus on developing essential literacy skills by decoding sounds and mastering sight words that don't follow regular spelling rules. 🤩 For more opportunities to learn, enroll more than once a week in one of our other sessions! We will cover a brand new fun lesson in each class. 🥸 What Will Your Student Learn? This interactive literacy course is designed for young learners in Kindergarten, First, and Second Grade, focusing on building a solid foundation in reading and writing. Using the research-based SIPPS curriculum, students will master phonics, sight words, and phonological awareness. Through daily, 25-minute lessons, children will learn to decode words, recognize over 80 sight words, and confidently apply short vowel sounds. They will also practice blending sounds and forming simple sentences, helping them become independent readers and writers. The course covers essential skills, including recognizing letters, blending sounds, spelling irregular sight words, and constructing sentences. With a focus on phonics, spelling, and writing, the program is perfect for students with little to no reading experience or those needing extra support. By the end of the course, students will have the tools they need to succeed in early literacy and feel confident in their reading and writing abilities. Our program is perfect for children entering Kindergarten or First Grade, second graders who are behind in reading, and English Language Learners. With just 25 minutes a day, your child will be on the path to literacy success. 🤓 What Topics Will You Cover? Throughout the course, your child will master: Sounding out letters and blending sounds together Reading and spelling sight words Constructing simple sentences Writing words and sentences independently How Is the Class Structured? The course consists of ten structured lessons, each designed to keep your child engaged and progressing steadily toward their literacy goals. This class is designed to teach beginning readers in kindergarten, first, and second grade who have little to no reading experience or who are currently struggling with letter sounds and blending. Students should recognize at least 20 letters from the alphabet, including all 5 vowels.

Students will be able to decode words by understanding letter sounds, blending those sounds together, and applying phonetic rules to read simple words with short vowels and compound words.
Students will be able to recognize and spell over 80 high-frequency sight words, including words that do not follow regular spelling patterns, to enhance their reading and writing fluency.
