In this class, students will work with Mrs. Ashley privately to improve kindergarten readiness skills in reading and math for 25 minutes once a week. This class can also help current kindergarteners that may be struggling with grade level expectations. Reading lessons will focus on recognizing letters, identifying letter sounds, learning kindergarten sight words, and sounding out CVC words. Math lessons will focus on counting to 100 orally, identifying 0-20, counting objects up to 20, and identifying shapes and colors. Teaching will include engaging learning games and activities that allow students to practice skills while having fun. Students will be assessed throughout the sessions by Mrs. Ashley to direct teaching and make it specific to each student's academic needs.

My younger children are not school aged yet but I'm working to prepare them as well. I earned my Master of Arts in Teaching K-6.
