Come join us for a 8-week jumpstart into 3rd Grade Math!! We will work every session on a new math skill that will help you throughout your school year. It will be challenging but fun! Each session, as long as we get our work done, will end with a fun-filled review game! Each class time will end with students given a chance to ask questions based on something they're learning in their own classrooms. Class will be very interactive (using Nearpod and Google Slides). You don't want to miss...

- Students will improve their accuracy when calculating a 2-3 digit addition or subtraction problem with or without borrowing
- Students will be able to explain that multiplying is repeated addition and show examples of such using arrays, equal groups and number lines
- Students will be able to define what numerator and denominator are in a fraction. They will be able to show an example of a fraction using a partitioned shape. They will also be able to compare fractions by using models (pictures)
- Students will be able to identify place value of a particular digit in a 2-4 digit number. They will also be able to add/subtract 10 and 100 to a number. Students will also be able to round 2-3 digit numbers
- Students will be able to tell time to the minute. They will also be able to tell elapsed time
- Students will be able to break apart a multi-step problem in order to solve it accurately
