Tarea
1-2 horas por semana. The four things learned each week should be practiced daily for 5 to 10 minutes in total.
Evaluación
If practiced consistently the student and others around him/her will notice a shift towards more calmness and overall well-being. While I can certainly assess a change in the student vis-a-vis watching week-over-week on Zoom, it will be more of a self-assessment by students and others e.g., family members and friends. We will actively check-in on this each week.

Experiencia de clase

This is an interactive class. The session will help students to access tools in the body and mind which can help to eliminate stress and anxiety, release endorphins, along with some other benefits.  Each week the student will learn about  two simple yoga poses a breathing exercise and a short meditation that we will incorporate into the longer yoga class.

1. First, I will briefly tell the students which poses, breathing exercise and meditation we will do each week, and highlight some benefits.
2. Next, I will teach the poses, breathing exercise and meditation - new ones each week.
3. Then, we will spend the rest of the time doing a yoga class, incorporating the 4 tools (poses, breathing exercise and meditation into the class).
4. Finally, I will do a recap about what we learned today, including the benefits, and how to use these 'tools' at any time. The students will be asked to practice them for the next week until we meet again.
Metas de aprendizaje
- Students will learn that they have the ability to reset their feelings at any time by accessing tools in their body and mind that can help them feel better. For instance, feeling sad? by doing some yoga can help bring better feelings in the mood. Feeling anxious before an exam? practicing a breathing exercise can help calm the mind.  Feeling frightened?, a short meditation can release endorphins in the brain helping to reduce or eliminate this feeling bringing some more joy into focus.

A yoga mat is preferred, but if there is not an option to purchase one, sitting on a towel or rug works too. No other purchases necessary. 
Student should wear comfortable clothes for this class, as we will be moving.

My greatest passion are my children, both who started yoga, breathing exercises and meditation, while in their high school years. They continue to carry these tools with them, and I have seen tremendous benefit for them by doing so. I believe these are gifts we can give to ourselves at any time.  Having this knowledge and benefiting from it makes me want to share it. I believe  we all can highly benefit from a reset during the course of the day whether through a yoga class, simple breath exercise or short meditation.
