Experiencia de clase

In this one-session 45-minute class, students will continue to explore the advanced drawing and editing tools in the free Tayasui Sketches School app. This class is geared towards elementary students who love to draw and would like to use their creativity to draw amazing pictures on their iPad! It is perfect for beginners who have no or limited experience with drawing on the iPad or who are interested in learning about a new digital drawing app.

NOTE: Before taking this class, students should have completed my iPad Digital Drawing for Beginners Part 1 class (or have experience using the Tayasui Sketches School app).

In this class, students will:
1. Create a new project using the Sketches School app.
2. Review the main digital drawing tools in the app and how to customize and use them.
3. Learn how to use and edit the shape tools.
4. Explore how to use fill, blend, cut, rulers, lines, and symmetry.
5. Use the text tool to add typing and emojis.
6. Use the fill to color the background.
7. Combine digital drawing tools together to create a custom emoji.
8. Save and share a completed drawing

After students have reviewed the basic drawing tools, we will learn how to use the advanced tools in Tayasui Sketches School. Then students will be guided through the creation of a custom emoji drawing while following the teacher. If time, they will be able to create an additional emoji or drawing of their choice using what they learned. Students will share their finished drawings with the teacher and the class while reflecting on what they learned, their strengths, and what they would like to learn or improve in their next drawing.

For this class, your student will need:
*An iPad and the most recent free Tayasui Sketches School app downloaded onto their iPad in advance:
*A separate computer or screen (not the iPad they are using for drawing) to watch the lesson.
*It is helpful if students have a stylus or an Apple Pencil to make the drawing process easier, but this lesson can also be done by drawing with a finger.

Please note that the Tayasui Sketches School app is perfect for elementary students/beginners and is much simpler than using the Procreate app to draw. If your student is already using Procreate successfully to make drawings, then this class probably is too easy for them.

I personally love to draw on my iPad and have many years of experience teaching young learners how to draw digitally. I would love to share with your student the many creative tricks and tips that I have learned.
Metas de aprendizaje
At the end of this fun and creative session, students should have a detailed digital drawing completed and have the knowledge to continue using the drawing tricks we learned in the Sketches School app to create their own masterpieces!
