In this 5-week course students will learn how to use TinkerCAD. They will practice creating 3D designs. Students will be introduced to the program and how to use it effectively. The teacher will provide tutorial based lessons. This is an excellent course for students that want to learn 3D designing. Week 1: Learn the TinkerCAD tools. In this class the teacher will discuss the tools on the program. Week 2: Learn to create a Minecraft character. Week 3: Learn to create a Minecraft World. Week 4: Learn to create a Pokémon character. Week 5: Learn to create a donut. What is TinkerCAD? Tinkercad is a free-of-charge, online 3D modeling program that runs in a web browser. Since it became available in 2011 it has become a popular platform for creating models for 3D printing as well as an entry-level introduction to constructive solid geometry in schools. Requirements for this course: Students are required to have two devices. One for TinkerCAD and another for Zoom. Split screen can be tricky for some students. We also require students to use a computer or laptop.
