Experiencia de clase

Shalom!

Welcome to Introduction to the Aleph-Bet. In this ongoing class students will be introduced each week to three or four letters from the Hebrew alphabet. Students will become familiar with the shape of the letters as well as the sounds they make. Each class follows the same format but does not build on content from previous classes. Students can join at any point and are welcome to repeat the series if they wish. Each week we will:

Greet Our Friends
Sing the Hebrew Alphabet Song
Introduce the Letters of the Week
Sing Letter Songs (Uniquely created to help kids remember the look, sound, and/or a unique feature of the letter)
Words in Hebrew That Begin with The Letter
Complete a Scavenger Hunt/Show and Tell (Looking for objects in our homes that begin with our letter sounds)

After class students will be provided with a coloring page for the letters of that week as well as some suggestions for “building” that letter.

*No previous knowledge of Hebrew is required for this class.

*This class requires a minimum of 3 students to run. A decision will be made 24 hours prior to class if the upcoming session will be canceled and refunded due to low enrollment. If a class is canceled the content is automatically bumped to the next session.

*All classes will begin on time as long as there is at least one learner in the classroom. If 10 minutes after the start time, there are no students in class the teacher will exit the classroom. This class cannot be taught with no students, so no recordings will be available for classes with zero attendance.
Metas de aprendizaje
Students will become familiar with the letters of the Hebrew alphabet in preparation for learning to decode or read Hebrew.

Shalom, I’m Doron!

I am a passionate educator with over fifteen years of experience teaching in traditional classrooms, small group settings and one-on-one. For the past couple of years, I have been teaching online and I love the ability to share the subjects I love with students all over the world. I teach students from the tiniest of the tiny (including my own little ones) to adults in a variety of subjects, but my main Outschool offerings at this point are in Hebrew Reading, Modern Hebrew Language and Judaism from an academic perspective. I am always revamping current classes and adding more so if there is something you are looking for that falls into my wheelhouse please do not hesitate to reach out.

I hope to see you (or your student) in class soon!
