UU. 6 - 9
Nivel Beginner
1. What will be taught?
* The class will cover core topics in molecular biology and biotechnology, focusing on * genetics, gene editing, biotechnology applications, and environmental biotechnology. Key topics include:

2. How is your class structured?
* Lectures: The class will consist primarily of lectures, where you will explain the theories and concepts in detail.
* Weekly Homework: Students will be assigned homework each week to reinforce the material covered in class, such as problem sets on genetics or case studies on genetic disorders.

3. How will you teach?
* Direct Instruction: You will provide in-depth explanations of complex topics, using slides, examples, and clear explanations. Lectures will focus on key concepts, processes, and applications.
* Weekly Homework: Each week, students will be assigned homework to apply what they’ve learned in class. Homework could include solving genetics problems, analyzing case * studies, or researching genetic disorders.
* Assessment: Regular assignments and potentially quizzes will help track student progress and understanding.

3. What's your teaching style?
My teaching style is lecture-driven, emphasizing clear, structured delivery of material. You will focus on: Providing detailed, well-organized lectures. Encouraging students to complete independent assignments that consolidate their learning. Maintaining a formal, structured environment that prioritizes lecture content over class interaction.

4. How much will learners get to interact with you?
* Lectures: Most of the class time (around 80%) will involve listening to your lectures, taking notes, and engaging with slides and examples.
* Weekly Homework: Students will spend time outside class on homework assignments (approximately 20%), where they can apply what they've learned.
* Q&A Sessions: After lectures, you'll have a brief Q&A session (5-10 minutes) to clarify any confusion or questions students may have about the material.

Metas de aprendizaje

Students will be able to explain core concepts in genetics, including the structure and function of genes, inheritance patterns (Mendelian and non-Mendelian), and the role of biotechnology in genetic research and applications.
Students will be able to use Punnett squares and pedigree charts to predict inheritance patterns, solve genetics problems, and analyze real-world cases of genetic disorders.
