This introductory class stems from the Military History Club - Most Decisive Battles class and the Greatest Generals class which has successfully run over the past three years on Outschool.

This class is for the younger learner (ages 6-11) who has a keen interest in Military History and want to learn about the principles of war, weapons, tactics, military doctrine and strategy of wars from Antiquity to the 21st century. The key terms and vocabulary of Military History will be emphasized throughout the class.

In this class we will explore a new topic each day: some days may be about a specific commander whereupon we will discuss the nature of military leadership, decision-making, and the art of command. Other days may consist of talking about various weapons used in war.

Ultimately, the topics for this class will be inspired by the students, however the first four weeks will follow this format:

Week of 1 March - Weapons of World War One
Week of 8 March - Genghis Khan and the Mongols
Week of 15 March - The Ancient Greeks vs the Persians
