In this class, students will get the chance to develop their acting skills and technique!

The class will begin with introductions, followed by an explanation of some basic theatre concepts, and then learners will have the chance to work on a scene with a partner. Students will get the chance to perform their scenes for each other and workshop it with the instructor. Students also have the option to work on a monologue if they prefer to work alone. By the end of the class, students will feel more confident as actors and ready to take on the theatre world! 

Students will learn concepts such as physical acting, tactics, intentions, and more. This class will focus on acting for the stage, although if learners are more interested in acting for film, this can also be addressed. 

As a teacher, I believe in facilitating a safe and inclusive learning environment. I tailor my class to the individual needs of each of my learners. I promote equity and diversity in everything that I do. 

No previous acting experience is required. However, students should be at or above their grade's reading level, to make it less frustrating when trying to read through a script. Can't wait to see you in the classroom!
