Each week there will be a different spelling pattern concept

Week 1: Short vowel patterns
Week 2: Short vowel patterns
Week 3: one syllable have long vowel patterns 
Week 4: one syllable have long vowel patterns 
Week 5: keep the - y when adding - ing to words that end in - y
Week 6: double consonants at the end 
Week 7: Review of all lessons

During each week the students can do the assignments daily or combine them for the week. The daily schedule is:

Day 1: lesson
1. Video/PowerPoint lesson of the spelling or word work skill.
2. Students choose 10 of the spelling words from the list they want to learn and write them down.

Day 2: Review and independent practice 
1. The students can choose an activity to do with the words to practice 

Day 3: spelling assessment of the words learned. 

Each week there will be a specific spelling lesson. The students will have several practice worksheets available to them for each lesson.  If the parents are available to help the students study the words that would be appreciated.  For the assessment each week the student would need to have the parents give them the list and upload a picture into the classroom so I can see how they did. For the seventh week the students will take a spelling assessment of the words they missed during the week and/ or all the words they picked throughout the week.
