* This course is slightly accelerated. We will be covering multiple lessons during each meeting (with the exception of the first one).

In this course, your learner will be working through Following Narnia, Volume 1: The Lion's Song from the Institute for Excellence in Writing (IEW). This course focuses on essays and the Response to Literature (RTL) unit from IEW. Your learner will continue using outlines to plan writing assignments based on the book The Horse and His Boy. All dress-ups and openers learned so far will still be required with the addition of some advanced literary techniques. Your learner will receive detailed feedback based on the rubrics for each lesson in the Student Book.

***Your learner should have taken Part 1 and Part 2 of this course OR have completed Lessons 1-24 in the student book before taking this class.

This time will also be used to focus on grammar and vocabulary through planned activities that foster brainstorming and collaboration. Vocabulary will be reviewed as well using Quizlet and will be incorporated into the activities. Your learner will also be able to ask questions about the assignment during this time.

*** If you have siblings, I will give you a $10 discount in the form of a refund for the additional learners.
