This 12-week group class is tailored for IB Business Management (HL/SL) students who want to excel in their coursework and assessments. Designed to align with the IB syllabus, this course will cover core topics such as Business Organization, Human Resources, Marketing, Finance, and Operations Management. Each week, students will engage in lessons focused on understanding key concepts, applying business theories to real-world scenarios, and preparing for Internal and External Assessments. Learners will gain practical tools to improve their critical thinking, analytical, and decision-making skills. Whether tackling case studies, refining Internal Assessment drafts, or mastering exam techniques, this course will provide the knowledge and confidence needed to succeed. Class Experience: This class offers a structured yet flexible learning environment where students can strengthen their understanding of IB Business Management concepts. Here’s how the class is structured: Weekly Focus on Core Topics: Each week, we will dive into a specific area of the syllabus, ensuring a thorough understanding of the material while making connections between topics. Real-World Application: Using case studies and practical examples, students will practice applying business theories to real-world situations, enhancing their ability to think critically and make informed decisions. Exam Preparation: Students will learn how to approach exam questions effectively, analyze data, and construct well-reasoned responses for Paper 1 and Paper 2. Internal Assessment Support: Dedicated sessions will provide guidance on selecting topics, structuring reports, and refining drafts for the IA. Teaching Style: My teaching style is dynamic and highly interactive, combining clear explanations with engaging activities. I hold extensive experience teaching business studies, particularly at the IB level, both HL and SL. As a former IB Business Management examiner, I possess a deep understanding of assessment criteria and how to help students meet them effectively.
For over five years, I have worked with students preparing for IB Internal Assessments (IA) and External Assessments, helping them achieve high grades by breaking down complex concepts into understandable lessons. I also have experience teaching in group and one-on-one settings, tailoring sessions to fit unique learning needs and helping students build confidence and critical thinking skills.
Additionally, my role as a program leader in business education has allowed me to design comprehensive teaching frameworks that align with international educational standards, ensuring student success and engagement.
