In this multi-day class, the students and I will cover how to write dialogue in creative writing short stories according to the American English grammar rules. We will talk about all the grammar and punctuation rules students need to know to write good dialogue. Then, we will study the different types of dialogue (9) and examples for each of them.
Please note: If your student already knows how to format dialogue, this class may not be the best fit for them. This is a class created for beginners on this topic.

Class #1: We will start class with a small writing exercise. Then, we will begin to cover the class material via PowerPoint. With each slide, there will be a lecture on the concept and then an example. 

Class #2: We will finish the PowerPoint as stated before, and then we will practice formatting dialogue correctly via a worksheet.
