Come join the fun in this one-time class! No experience necessary! Students will learn how to draw and paint a canary wearing sunglasses and will also learn fun facts about canaries along the way! The class will consist of three main parts: sketching in pencil, colouring with coloured pencils (and fine-line permanent marker), and finally painting with watercolour! Ms. Emily will guide students step-by-step throughout the class and will show a close up view of her hands while she demonstrates each step. Students will be encouraged to ask questions and share their artwork with the other learners in the class. It will be a warm and inclusive environment that will be a good mix of learning and fun! Supply List: pencil, eraser, coloured pencils, fine-line permanent marker (or black ballpoint pen), watercolour paint, watercolour paper (approximately 9” x 12”), a medium-sized paintbrush, a small detail brush, a water jar, and tissues/paper towel.
