In the first week of class, students will discuss a problem that Fairy Tale Land is having. They will act as Representatives and they will then draft legislation to fix the issue. They will be given the problem: Creatures of Fairyland are being terrorized by motorized vehicles running through the parks. They will be asked to draft a law that prevents or solves this problem. There should be nothing sensitive in the discussions. We are discussing laws, criminal behavior (violating the law), and what that punishment should be.
