Horror movies have lured fans to drive ins and theaters for decades. They are often inspired by our darkest fears, yet we find them entertaining. Horror movies tell stories of terror such as killers, evil clowns, ghosts, ghouls, zombies, vampires, werewolves, and other monsters. 

All horror fans are welcome to attend the class regardless of how many or how few horror movies they have seen. We will try to touch upon a variety of films and subgenres throughout our time together. It is impossible to watch every horror movie ever made or to reference every great film maker, but we will mention a lot of them. This class will focus primarily on the modern horror era from the 2000's- present. For a horror origins class from the 1960's onward I recommend my Horror Movies Film Studies Part 1 class.

All learners should be respectful to each other. Each week we will watch an assigned horror movie prior to class. We will discuss the movie of the week in class. During our discussions we will bring up the themes the movie represents, who our favorite characters are, what our favorite scenes are, what we liked and didn’t like, etc. I will then break down the movie scene for scene, this is the same approach I use for my other film studies classes on Outschool. This class is Part 2 of my Horror Movies Film Studies classes, you do not need to have attended Part 1 to attend my Part 2 class.
