1-2 horas por semana. Homework per week will vary depending on the topic but will include engaging with me, as the teacher, and/ or with other learners! Learners will put their knowledge to the test and creatively showcase what they learn throughout the course. They're also encouraged to reach out with any comments or questions regarding each week's lesson! Week 1: Screenwriting (additional details to be provided during weekly lessons) Assignment - Use the provided Guided Screenplay Exercise Worksheet to write your own screenplay. Week 2: Cinematography (additional details to be provided during weekly lessons) Assignment 1 - Watch the short film, SEVEN TO SEVEN, and use the Camera Shots List Worksheet to describe the different techniques that you notice. Assignment 2 - Respond to another camera shots list, from the Outschool classroom, with one paragraph of feedback. Did you notice the same things or different? Why do you think this might be? Week 3: Production Design (additional details to be provided during weekly lessons) Assignment 1 - Create a mood board for your Week 1 script. You can make a physical collage (pictures, magazine cutouts etc) or create something in PowerPoint (see example) or Canva online. Assignment 2 - Choose one of your favorite movies and do a bit of research on the Production Designer. Submit 2-3 paragraphs on your findings. Week 4: Editing (additional details to be provided during weekly lessons) Assignment 1 - Watch the movie, CREED, and use the Editing Techniques Worksheet to make a list of at least 5 examples of editing techniques that you notice in the movie. Assignment 2 - Do a bit of research on one of the film’s editors, Claudia Castello or Michael P. Shawver. Submit 2-3 paragraphs on your findings. Be sure to keep track of your sources and include them at the end of your research.Evaluación

Orientación para padres
All titles to be mentioned, used as examples or as part of an assignments each week are rated G, PG or, in a few cases, PG-13. In the case of the PG-13 examples shown during class, there is no strong language, violence, sexual situations or drug use, which is important to be mentioned as these are the MPAA ratings guidelines for a PG-13 movie. Should you have any questions, I'm happy to share any information prior to the beginning of the course or the lesson each week. Thank you!
Lista de útiles escolares
Nothing needed for class sessions unless the learner(s) want to take notes. For homework assignments, worksheets to help guide our learners will be available via Google drive for learners to access. The movie CREED (PG-13) will be the only required viewing that will not be made available by me. This will be utilized in Editing 101 (Week 4). It's available on Sling or to rent/ buy on Amazon, VUDU, Apple TV, YouTube, Fandango Now, OnDemand etc. Please reach out if there are any issues accessing this title and we can discuss other options!
