Historia del mundo: Una mirada en profundidad al mundo moderno (Actualidad)

In this 9 week course, students will learn about the Modern World. Each week students will learn about a new topic ensuring that they stay focused and have fun learning; which is extremely important. We will be following the schedule below; a syllabus will be given to each student to ensure that they are aware of the review questions, quizzes, and projects that will be due. 

Week 1: The Americas (US Economic Growth to The Space Race) 
Week 2: The Americas (The Cuban Revolution to NAFTA)
Week 3: Asia and the Middle East (The Indian National Congress to Oil and Politics)
Week 4: Asia and the Middle East (The Iranian Revolution to The Iran-Iraq War)
Week 5: Asia and the Middle East (The First Gulf War to Japan, China, and the Tiger Economies)
Week 6: Africa (Rhodesia and UDI to The End of Apartheid)
Week 7: New Challenges (Biotechnology to The Communication Revolution)
Week 8: New Challenges (9/11 to Russia and Ukraine)
Week 9: Class Completion and Review 

This course is designed using a PowerPoint presentation while incorporating video/audio clips if relevant to that weeks topic. All students will need to ensure that they have a working camera device so that we can have open discussions once the material is presented; all students will need to bring a notebook to class to complete the weekly review questions.
