In this ongoing course, students will be introduced to all the presidents of the United States starting with George Washington and ending with Joe Biden. Through an engaging discussion and presentation, students will learn about their earlier lives, how they became presidents, and how their time as president went for the people of the United States. What were their biggest achievements? What were their biggest mistakes? Did you know that President Regan was an actor? Did you know that George Washington was the ONLY president to ever be unanimously elected? Did you know that FDR was the first president to appear on television? Each week will be a combination of interactive discussion and presentation full of information about these leaders and the United States at the time of the presidency. This is a beginner class, so no prior knowledge is need. For the past decade, I have been encouraging students through education and personal development to explore the challenges of the past. Through my own personal education and professional development, I create a safe environment for students to learn about challenging topics of the past. My undergraduate is in history, focusing on United States and European integration, past cultures, and empire. My first master's degree is in education with a focus on English/Language Arts and History. My second master's degree is in history with a focus on world empires and United States/Europe during the premodern era and modern era. I am currently pursuing my PhD in history focusing on immigration and relations with indigenous peoples and cultures.
