Extra! Extra! Learn All About It! Come join us for one funny class as we go through some of the craziest and silliest laws of USA. Did you know you can't sleep in a cheese factory - or eat a frog who has won a race - Well, now you do! If you are ready to learn about some of the craziest laws from all over the 50 United States, then this is the class for you! We will have a blast learning about these ridiculous rules and having some great class discussion on what were these people thinking! We will also make up some of our own laws! This class is a historical learning time, but is created and structured to allow students to have fun with learning while engaging in creative social interaction. The main goal of this course is to allow students to work on their social interaction and collaboration skills through history! Did you know that it is illegal to wear a fake mustache in church that causes people to laugh in Alabama? Did you know that it is illegal to wrestle a bear in in Oklahoma? Did you know that it is illegal to hunt in a cemetery in Oregon? Did you know that it is illegal for donkeys to sleep in bathtubs in Arizona! If you wanna hear about some of the silliest laws and to help create our own, come join us for some fun!

I have been challenging and elevating students for over 10 years to delve deeply into the issues of our past and wrestle with the realities of our present and future. Each conversation will be open and honest but guided with the necessary care for students of this age. I believe it is our job as educators to not teach children what to think- but how to think and allow them to unearth the truths that are often hidden within the words of pages.
