In this comprehensive 17-week online U.S. History course, students will explore the rich tapestry of American history from 1619 to 1935. The course is designed to be inclusive and intersectional, providing a balanced and unbiased view of historical events. We will cover the experiences of diverse groups, including Native Americans, African Americans, women, immigrants, and others whose stories are integral to understanding the full scope of U.S. history.
Metas de aprendizaje
Students will gain a thorough knowledge of significant events, figures, and developments in U.S. history from 1619 to 1935, including colonization, the American Revolution, nation-building, civil rights movements, industrialization, and social reforms.
Students will develop critical thinking skills by analyzing and interpreting a variety of historical documents, including letters, speeches, legal documents, photographs, and other primary sources.
