Orientación para padres
In "World in Focus: Understanding Today’s Biggest Issues," some content may be sensitive or potentially upsetting to certain learners, particularly topics related to infectious diseases, mental health, and environmental disasters. Discussions around pandemics and their impacts, as well as mental health stigma and challenges, may evoke strong feelings or personal experiences. We will approach these topics with care and anonymity. I will provide a supportive environment for students to express their thoughts and feelings.
Any media content used in the class will be age-appropriate and reviewed for sensitivity. For example, documentary clips on pandemics or mental health awareness will be selected based on their educational value and will have a rating of G or PG. Specific ratings will be shared in advance, allowing parents to review materials if desired.
Overall, I aim to provide a supportive and respectful atmosphere that allows all students to engage with challenging content while prioritizing their emotional well-being. If parents have any concerns or questions, they are encouraged to reach out for further discussion.
