One on one tutoring for high school math. Classes include, but not limited to:
-Algebra I and II
-Geometry
-Precalculus(AP or non-AP)
-AP Calculus A/B
-AP Statistics

Students should have an idea of what topics they need help in as these are not sessions to teach an entire course worth of material. Materials and examples can be provided by the tutor once there is a clear understanding of what the students needs are.

Students with math anxiety are the target audience, but all are welcome. I have worked with math anxious students for years and have studied the condition for my Ph.D dissertation.

I have over a decade of experience in mathematics education, specializing in tutoring and instruction at the college level. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics (GPA 4.0) and a Master of Arts in Teaching (GPA 3.98) from SUNY Old Westbury, along with ongoing doctoral studies in Curriculum and Instruction at the University at Buffalo (GPA 3.99). My academic background includes extensive coursework in statistics and quantitative research, which I have applied in both teaching and research. 

My teaching experience spans various roles. Currently I am a 9th grade math teacher for NYC Department of Education. My past experiences include serving as the Director of the Math Learning Center at SUNY Old Westbury, where I tutored students, oversaw operations, and developed training programs for tutors. In addition, I was in charge of math placement for incoming first-year students as well as administering placement tests if students disagreed with that placement. I have also worked as an adjunct instructor at multiple colleges, teaching mathematics in both in-person and online formats.

My tutoring approach emphasizes individualized support, data-driven instruction, and the use of educational technology to enhance student learning. I have worked with diverse student populations, ranging from middle-school students to upper-division college students, helping them build confidence and develop essential problem-solving skills.
