Tarea
1-2 horas por semana. Homework will vary in some cases, but will often range from grammar and writing practice, drafting a sentence, paragraph, or an essay. Students will also be asked to familiarize themselves with different devices of figurative language and rhetorical devices that will aid in their writing skills and critical thinking skills.Experiencia de clase

Nivel Beginner - Advanced
- The proper use of grammar and punctuation is essential to writing and will be covered in these sessions. Along with these mechanics, learning to create an argument in a thesis, as well as learning to write persuasive, argumentative and rhetorical analysis essays will also be introduced to the student. - Classes will be structured according to the student’s needs. We will identify what the student is struggling with first, how to approach this learning curve and complete practices to master this skill. - Students will be taught in a 1-on-1 environment that will allow me to focus on their needs and will allow me to offer feedback in a timely manner. Students have the opportunity to learn through slideshows, handouts, and occasionally some educational games.

Students will be able to learn how to use grammar and punctuation correctly. Students will also be able to explore different viewpoints to a statement or argument and will be able to create an argument defending their stance in an essay.

Although this class is listed as a tutoring session, there will be times where students are asked to read a text that could contain sensitive material such as mental health, mystery murder genres, etc. To avoid making a student uncomfortable, it is my goal to always reach out to parents first to approve the text before moving on with the lesson.
