This 6-week course is an exciting journey into herpetology—the study of reptiles and amphibians. Designed for curious learners, the course combines hands-on activities, interactive lessons, and engaging discussions to uncover the lives of snakes, lizards, frogs, turtles, and more. Each class will include a take-home activity or live animal ambassador to engage with. Each class features visually engaging videos and photos and thoughtfully designed slides to make complex concepts easy to understand and enjoyable to learn. By the end of the course, participants will gain a deeper appreciation for reptiles and amphibians and their vital role in nature, all while having fun!

Several pages of coloring and worksheets will be provided for learners to print off and use during the semester. One of the homework assignments will be to build your own reptile habitat, where students can use drawings, legos, Plato, etc to build their habitat.

I am a National Geographic Certified Educator and have my bachelor's degree in biological sciences and psychology. I have 9 years of hands-on experience working with reptiles and amphibians in the zoo field and conducting conservation research with them on 5 continents. I am excited to share my passion for reptiles and amphibians with learners!
