Experiencia de clase

Students will be using the movement of their bodies to learn new Hebrew words and verbs. In the first level of Hebrew Through Movement, we will cover to stand, to sit, to stop, to walk, to run, to hop, and to spin. All learners (and me!) will need space to move around so that our bodies and brains can connect as we work to remember these new words. New words will be introduced in small batches through modeling and repetition.

Families will have the opportunity to share any specific Hebrew words or prayers they would like their child to learn as well as any other skills you would like us to focus on, such as learning the Aleph Bet, reading, or writing.

Experiencia y certificaciones del docente
Hi everybody! I'm currently a third grade math teacher in Maryland, but my favorite part of teaching is making it relatable and fun for the students! I received my BS in Elementary Education from the University of Maryland, College Park and am currently studying back at UMD for my Master's in Minority and Urban Education. Outside of the classroom, I have also taught Hebrew School for 7 years, worked as a counselor and administrator at a sleep-away camp for 6 years, and have over 300 hours of tutoring experience.

A fun fact is that at the age of 22, I taught myself how to solve the Rubik's Cube and then used 225 cubes to make a mosaic of my camp's logo! I like to bring in outside topics, such as books, movies or games to help make the students understand the topic better. You might see some classes working with the Rubik's Cube, Harry Potter, Pokemon, Minecraft, Unicorns, and more! My goal is to make sure that every student knows that they always have someone cheering them on in the background, celebrating every step toward success! I strongly believe that the baby steps along the way are the most important piece.
