Conclude the magical journey of Harry Potter in this 9 week class by reading "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" and discussing the reading. Each class learners will come prepared to class by having read the weeks chapters. I will have discussion questions for the learners to encourage them to talk about the reading as well as check for comprehension. The learners are free to ask their own questions about the reading. We will also discuss character development and plot development. This class is for the learner who is reading this for the first time and for a fan that want to discuss the book with other fans.

Here is a weekly break down

Week 1: Read chapters 1-4 and discuss the changes in the world since the last book and Harry has grown since the first book.

Week 2: Read chapters 5-9 and discuss the items that were left to Harry, Ron and Hermonie. Why did Dumbledore give them these items? How might they help them in the future?

Week 3: Read chapters 10-13 and discuss how the group is doing living in hiding.

Week 4: Read chapters 14-17 and discuss how important Godric's Hallow is to the story and what do we learn from the trip.

Week 5: Read chapters 18-21 and discuss "The Tale of the Three Brothers" and how that relates to everything that has happened to Harry so far.

Week 6: Read chapters 22-25 and watch “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1.” We will discuss the movie and differences found in the book.

Week 7: Read chapters 26-29 and discuss the break in at Gringotts and find the lost diadem.

Week 8: Read chapters 30-33 and discuss the battle at Hogwarts.

Week 9: Read chapters 34-36 and epilogue. Watch "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2". We will discuss the differences in the film verses the book and they might have made the changes in the movie. We will also discuss the journey that Harry has taken from finding out he was a wizard to seeing his own children take the train to Hogwarts.
