It's that time of year again, and I have some delicious ideas brewing in my cauldron that will keep kids moving, teach them new music, and help them discover some spooky Halloween classic(al) music. We will have a Halloween sing-along and move-along that will get their bones rattling. Working together, learners will use body percussion-- clapping, patting, swishing, and more-- to keep the beat and choreograph our own accompaniment that uses our own body as instruments. Annette is a PA-certified music educator and teachers preschool through high school music.
Please bring a lightweight music scarf (sometimes known as juggling scarves) or something that will work as a scarf, such as a dish towel, play silk, or muslin baby blanket.
Students will be moving and dancing. This class is not suitable for families who don't celebrate Halloween, and will include mentions of typical Halloween creatures such as ghosts, witches, and skeletons.
