This class is an introduction to gum paste flowers. Since this is the first lesson there is no skill involved and only a handful of items required. This class is a designed to be fun and have students learn that it is OK to make mistakes. Working with gum paste is like playing with play dough but edible. If it's not right the first time, ball it up and start again. It should take an hour to go through set up of a work area and in making flowers. I have 5 different videos, each no more than 7 minutes guiding your learner through the flower making process. My goal is to get students interested in learning more advanced flowers down the road in subsequent lessons. With this introduction to gum paste it should spark interest in creating their own designs by going out into the woods, botanical gardens or searching online for flowers to try and replicate themselves. The goal is to strengthen students' attention to detail, creativity and dexterity. I will be available for any questions via email and will respond within 24 hours.
