In these lessons, the content will be tailored to the specific learner, determined by experience level as well as specific interests. Overall, common topics will include technique, real world musical examples, reading tablature and/or sheet music, and the building blocks of music. A combination of pdf musical materials and examples on the guitar will be used. Typically, I teach in a conversational yet focused style, allowing the learner to stay engaged while still being kept on track throughout the lesson. All lessons are one-on-one, giving full attention to your learner.

Basic mechanics of the guitar including technique, parts of the guitar, and how the guitar actually works.Long term hand health and long-term safety related to guitar technique. This includes posture as well as technique to avoid soreness or cramps.

I have been playing guitar for almost eleven years. My first teaching experience was a group setting, teaching a music summer camp at School of Rock. This included age ranges 6-14, and I taught at this camp for three years. More recently, I have done one-on-one guitar and music theory tutoring with Belmont students in the school of music program.
