In this ongoing, small guided reading group, the students will work on beginning reading skills. The students will develop a strong reading foundation. Each lesson will begin with a focus on rhyming activities. Some of the activities will include erase a rhyming word, and/or a rhyming song with picture cards. The students will then participate in word work ("If you know -og, you can spell hog.") which will also include letters (phonics) and letter sound (phonemic awareness) activities.
