1 hora por semana. Students will need to read familiar books each night. I recommend parents to rewrite the story (sentence) that the student wrote in class on a strip of paper and cut the words apart so that they can reassemble the words.Evaluación

Sign up any time!! I can't wait to meet you. In this class, struggling readers will receive individualized instruction to help them grow as readers from a Reading Recovery trained teacher. The first couple of lessons will be getting to know you and assessing what the student knows and their reading level. Once the reading level is determined each class will follow a similar format in which we read familiar books, work with words (making, breaking words, letter recognition...), write a story (one or two sentences), and read a new book. Students will have access to RAZKIds while in this class. RAZKids is an app that provides kids with digital access to books and allows them to take quizzes on them once they reach. a certain level. They are part of the LearningA-Z.com family.

Welcome! Thank you for taking the time to visit my virtual classroom. I am a certified teacher offering classes in Spanish, English as a Second Language, Reading, and elementary school subjects and crochet. If you would like me to work with your child, please don't hesitate to reach out! I look forward to meeting you and your child.
When I was in high school, I had an opportunity to internship at an elementary school and from that moment I fell in love with education. I went on to get my degree in Elementary Education from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and have been teaching ever since. I started out in the regular elementary classroom and then had opportunities to teach Spanish, Reading and English as a Second Language.
I love helping children grow as learners. It gives me great joy to see them learn and achieve their goals. There is nothing better than working with a struggling reader and hearing them say "I can read this!" I believe that children learn best when they are having fun, and feel safe. It is my goal to make each child feel this way. I want them to know that they matter to me.
I was born in Venezuela and moved to the states at the age of 10. This has helped me connect with my ESL students in the past because I understand what they are going through. In Venezuela they speak Spanish, which is why I feel comfortable teaching Spanish to young learners. I have 3 kids and I decided to work from home so that I could enjoy as much of my time with them as possible. Time flies and I want to continue working in education and encouraging children to find a love of learning.
