Class Description: The Great Gatsby - A Four-Week Novel Study

Step into the world of the Jazz Age with F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby. This four-week English Language Arts course for 11th-grade students dives deep into the themes, characters, and historical context of one of America’s most iconic novels. Through critical analysis, creative writing, and engaging activities, students will explore the complexities of the American Dream, social class dynamics, and the pursuit of identity.

What You Will Learn:

Analyze Fitzgerald’s narrative techniques, including symbolism, imagery, and point of view.

Examine the cultural and historical influences of the 1920s and their impact on the novel.

Develop literary analysis and critical thinking skills through structured reading and annotation.
