I run a successful local chess club in the heart of my city with over 1000's of chess players attending my club in the last 7 years. I want to bring these attributes to this online chess club, and really give chess students an online chess club where they can grow, learn, and have fun together! 

How does my chess club work?

This club runs for 55 minutes, once a week where students will be paired against each other in one chess match, with the time control of 15 minutes per side time control/limit with a 2 second increment added every move. At the 30-35 minute mark, I will then review as many of the chess student's chess matches as possible to identify areas of improvements in a way all chess students of all skill levels can understand.

Why not multiple games per a chess class session?

From my experience, one of the biggest tendencies that affects chess students is "rushing". My philosophy is simple: Quality > Quantity. If I can get chess students to take their time and, in turn, produce better quality games, while taking real enjoyment and fun in that process, then I've done my job.

Any chess tournament experience necessary?

Not at all. In fact I'm running this chess online club with the hope for chess students to experience a "competitive" chess game feel and one day participate in a over-the-board (OTB) FIDE or Nationally rated chess tournament! As chess students continue to play at my chess club, they will gain valuable chess experience with, combined with chess reviewing, great opportunities to grow quickly.  

What Skill level you should be at to join?

All levels. I will make sure to pair you with someone that's similar to your rating (or slightly stronger). From there, all chess students will take part of the review process and improve/grow together.

How can I be ready for this chess club?
