Geografía: Edición de Estados Unidos

This ongoing class will discuss the geography of the United States. We will discuss where each state is located and fun facts about each state. This class will meet for 25 minutes once a week. Every week a different state will be discussed. The students will be part of the process to pick which state we discuss every week by being chosen randomly to choose the state. Each week we will discuss the location of the state on the map and whether it is near any geographical land forms such as mountains, rivers, lakes, deserts, etc. Along with the location of the state, we will discuss other states that is it near and focus on some map skills. During the remainder of the class we will discuss fun facts about the state. The students will get to participate and add their own fun facts, especially if they live in that state. 

The students will pick the state each week, but there will be no repeats. This is an example of what the topic of each week could go.

Week of 12/22- Hawaii
Week of 1/5- Alaska
Week of 1/12- Michigan
Week of 1/19-Utah
Week of 1/26- Maine
Week of 2/2- Alabama
