Geografía: Introducción a África y Asia

What will be taught: 
Students learn about two continents, Africa and Asia, and some of the different countries that are found on each of these continents.
Students will learn to locate Africa and Asia on the map.
Students learn vocabulary words site, populated, and bamboo.
Students learn how big is Africa what are its largest and smallest countries.
Students learn what makes a unique city, and talk about the special characteristics of each animals.
Students will learn about the Nile River, and what does populated mean. 
Students learn about treelike grass found in Asia and about the Caspian Sea and Yangtze River on the map.
How will the lesson be taught:
Doc cam, discussion, engagement, and slides, maps, globe. 
Great class for beginners to learn about maps and locations on a map, compass rose, the oceans etc.

Students will learn and understand the geography of Africa and Asia is very large and diverse. Asia is the largest continent in the
world, and Africa is the second-largest continent. Africa and Asia have busy, modern cities. The Nile River flows through Africa and is the world’s longest river. Africa also has the largest hot desert, while Asia has the tallest mountain (Mount Everest) and the largest lake (Caspian Sea).

Orientación para padres
Parental guidance is helpful in case of technical difficulty or help for logging on to the zoom. Students do not need any expensive toys, furnishings or other items. They do need well designed space that is safe for the student to do activities/projects. Parental guidance is necessary incase student needs help with an activity with guidance. Such as gluing, cutting with scissors etc. There are no third party websites that will be used for this lesson or signing in for accounts.
