Join Miss Mackenzie in learning geography and meteorology, while also having fun! Learners will learn the basic elements of a map, globes, geographic characteristics of their community, weather, meteorology tools and forecasts, seasons, landforms, habitats and resources. All of the topics covered in these classes are based off of various United States standards for first grade or second grade social studies or geography. This ongoing class will be great for an advanced kindergartener, current first grader, or second grader that could use some review. Each week will cover different standards:

Learners will need a piece of paper and something to write with for each class! They can also bring coloring utensils if they would like. Each class will include a slide show with interactive activities, as well as an activity that the learner can complete at the end of class and share with their peers. Each class will also encourage learners to interact with each other and discuss the topics. Learners will have fun so that they are more likely to retain the information learned!

There is no prior experience or knowledge needed.
