GenAI Coders is a 25-week live online coding bootcamp where teens learn real-world web development by building a Twitch-style streaming hub from scratch. This hands-on course covers HTML, CSS, JavaScript, APIs, and AI-assisted coding while fostering problem-solving, debugging, and creative thinking skills.

🔹 What will be taught?
Students will gain a solid foundation in front-end web development while learning to use industry-standard tools. Key topics include:

HTML & CSS – Structuring and styling web pages
JavaScript Fundamentals – Variables, loops, functions, and event handling
DOM Manipulation – Making web pages interactive
APIs & Asynchronous JavaScript – Fetching and displaying live data
AI-Assisted Coding – Exploring responsible ways to enhance efficiency with AI tools
Version Control & Deployment – Using Git/GitHub and launching projects online

Weekly live 2-hour Zoom sessions with interactive coding exercises

This class includes live API integration with Twitch, which means students will be loading real-time Twitch streams within their projects. While we will focus on retrieving top gaming streams and structuring the data, Twitch is an open platform, and some streams may contain content not suitable for all audiences. Parents should be aware that Twitch content is not controlled by this course. No Twitch account is required, and students will not interact directly on Twitch—only retrieve data through its API.

I am a seasoned full-stack software engineer with over five years of experience teaching and mentoring students in computer science, web development, and AI-powered coding techniques.

I have worked as a Lead Instructor for General Assembly, where I guided students through immersive software engineering programs, helping them build real-world applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, and backend technologies like Node.js and PostgreSQL. Additionally, I have tutored high school students, AP Computer Science learners, and self-taught developers for over 1,000 online sessions, focusing on hands-on coding projects, problem-solving techniques, and career readiness.

My professional experience includes working on high-profile projects, such as enhancing the digital asset management system for James Cameron’s Avatar movie series and developing AI-powered learning tools. I also have extensive experience in cloud computing (AWS), GitHub collaboration, and modern web development frameworks, which I incorporate into my teaching to give students real-world coding skills that they can apply beyond the classroom.
