In this class we will be painting a traditional Christmas Tree using found objects of a fork and Q-tips. Also, we will learn a bit of background of where the trees derived from. I will show an example then go through the steps of materials needed and instruction. I will have a overhead camera for demonstration and one for me speaking to interact with students. We will discuss what kinds of other decorations the learners have around this time of year. We can use this piece for a gift to a friend or family member like we did.

Student will learn how to use found object as tools for painting. Students will learn using difference shades for creating depth in painting.

I enjoy teaching art and about health and wellness. My background in school was BA Studio Art -Painting and Metalsmithing. I am Certified K-12 Art Education. Since then I have done - jewelry, mosaic glass and tile, sewing, drawing and graphic design in my own studio. I have been in the Tile Setters Union and also the Painters Union and got my journeyman certification. My Philosophy of education is that children must have a simulating educational environment where they can grow and learn without judgment. Currently, I am teaching myself how to quilt. Married and have 1 son.
